For Table Linen
Table linen refers to fabric items used to cover and protect dining tables, including tablecloths, napkins, placemats, and table runners. Made from materials like cotton, linen, or polyester, they enhance table aesthetics while providing durability and easy maintenance.

Choose breathable fabric like cotton, check thread count, pick a comfy weave, ensure the right size, easy care, durability, and matching style.

1. Thread Count
Many people are often misled into thinking that the higher the thread count, the better the quality of table linen.
This is a common misconception, as different types of table linen are designed with different purposes in mind and therefore require different thread counts to achieve the best performance and look.
Thread count refers to the number of threads woven into one square inch of fabric, combining both the lengthwise (warp) and widthwise (weft) threads.
While a higher thread count generally results in a smoother, softer feel, it does not always guarantee better quality, especially if lower quality threads are used.
2. Material
100% Cotton (Isabella Range)
Elegant, classic feel – perfect for premium venues.
Made from 100% mercerised cotton with a satin band design.
Soft, absorbent, and cool to the touch.
Mercerisation adds lustre, strength, and reduces shrinkage.
Polyester
Soft with a cotton-like feel.
Resists wrinkles, stains, shrinking, and pilling.
Low spill absorption – ideal for busy hospitality settings.

3. Sizing
Choosing the Right Tablecloth Size
Selecting the right size depends on the drop length you prefer from the table edge.
Most tables are 30″ high, and drop is measured from the edge down.
Common Drop Lengths
Standard drop: 8″ from table edge (22″ from floor)
Lap level: 10″–12″ drop (20″–18″ from floor)
Banquet style: 15″ drop (15″ from floor)
Full drop: 29″–30″ drop (reaches the floor)
